my hope for a luxurious getaway was dashed, as the cold shrimp tacos were inedible, and the bruschetta betrayed me with its awful tomato. i can’t believe i wasn’t offered a complimentary room upgrade for all my troubles. the staff too busy for proper service, my expectations were clearly too high. disappointed.

I had a great stay with my family! Our spacious room had a nice balcony, and the pool was warm and clean. it was noisy in the morning due to traffic.

The rooms were super clean and the kids had a blast with the mini golf. We loved the brekkie – lekker spread! The swimming pool was a great bonus too, warm and inviting.

The only downside was a bit of a wait for food at dinner, which put a damper on the vibe.

the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. the breakfast was plentiful and hit the spot! the location was ideal for exploring local attractions, making it a memorable stay. overall, newtown park was a lovely place to unwind.

The breakfast was AMAZING! ! Huge selection from full Irish to pancakes! The staff were super friendly, especially the receptionists—Jackie went above and beyond to help us! We loved the outdoor courtyard area, perfect for relaxing.

Had a great time with friends exploring the area! We visited Wells House and Gardens and Kia Ora Mini Farm, which were perfect for a fun day out. The leisure centre and pool were fantastic for relaxing after our adventures. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food options were varied and tasty.

The double room we stayed in was nice and tidy, but it had no AC and was pretty stuffy since the window only opened a tiny bit. We got a free bottle of wine on arrival, which was a nice touch, but the room service was a letdown—didn’t change our bed sheets or refill the shower gel. the room was clean but needed better ventilation and proper service.

The outdoor area features a playground that kids seem to really enjoy, providing a great distraction while you catch your breath. Breakfast includes a self-service cooked option. Various choices like coffee and tea, allowing a relaxed start to the day.

The family room had a significant issue with temperature control—heating automatically shuts off at night, making it uncomfortably cold for more sensitive travelers. The television setup is a letdown. non-smart models limit entertainment options for families, with only basic cartoons available. Dining experiences were inconsistent. a shrimp taco dish arrived cold, and the goats cheese bruschetta came with unwanted tomato salsa, lacking clear ingredient descriptions.

We enjoyed a delightful stay with our family. The bar staff provided a warm welcome, and we loved the outdoor area with a playground. The pool was a hit with the kids, but make sure to check for spoons at breakfast! Tip, opt for fresh coffee in the mornings.

I enjoyed the spacious Double & Single Room but faced late meal arrivals.
